Ok, I know I'm 2 days late, but I just saw this and thought it was rather humorous. I was reading Discourse.Net and found this: Saudi law forces Valentines underground: Each year shortly before Feb. 14, the country's religious police mobilize, heading out to hunt for and confiscate - red roses, red teddy bears and any signs of a heart.
In a country where Valentine's Day is banned, ordinary Saudis find they must skirt the law to spoil their sweethearts.
The Valentine's Day holiday celebrating love and lovers is banned in Saudi Arabia, where religious authorities call it a Christian celebration that true Muslims should shun. What I find funny about this is that lots of evangelical Christians consider Valentine's day "just another pagan celebration and an abomination in the eyes of the true god."It is about time we examined these foolish customs of the pagans now falsely labeled Christian. It is time we quit this Roman and Babylonian foolishness - this idolatry - and get back to the faith of Christ delivered once for all time. Many others consider Valentine's day a fake holiday cooked up by Hallmark.
Ol' Cupid doesn't seem to be doing a very good job these days!
