Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

From Beerinator:
"The vote was 18-11 in favor of HB392.

The bill now moves forward to the House ABC committee before it will be presented to a vote in the entire House.

In other news; Mutual Distributing is still being a huge Jerkwad. They are still lobbying to change HB392 to fit their needs. Fortunately for beer and wine lovers everywhere Mutual's lobbying efforts suffered a big failure today.

The next stop for HB392 is the ABC committee, and it just so happens that the chairman of the ABC committee is a half owner of Mutual Distributing. Let us hope that he sees how much of a conflict of interest his participation in this vote really is.
HB392 would remove the 6% alcohol volume limit from beer in North Carolina.
