Why should we hear about body bags and deaths and how many, what day it's gonna happen? It's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?

The Old MarvinI CAN'T POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND how anyone could have disliked this movie. guide fan or not, it was awesome. the scene in the magrathean planet building complex was absolutely spectacular.

If you're a fan already and disliked the movie, I hope that you'll see it again and re-think your position. Look, after seeing it it's quite obvious that what Douglas Adams wanted was yet another different version of the story. This time, he decided to add more romance and more intrigue and change some of the characters around while giving us a very different adventure for our heroes to undertake.

I was spellbound, the guide entries were great, the movie was hilarious and moving, and the intro with the dolphins was perfect.

Also a cute little side note for dorks like me. When they're in the line at the Vogon Planet trying to free Trillian by signing all the forms, one of the robots in line is the original Marvin from the old tv series. He looks nothing like the new Marvin, of course.

I dont' know if it was the same model or a rework of the old one, but it was him. Oh, and the "sneeze church" scene hit the nail on the head. I was VERY impressed.
