I see and admire your manner of liv-ing. . . . You can do almost what you choose. You whites possess the power of subduing almost every animal to your use. You are surrounded by slaves. Everything about you is in chains, and you are slaves yourselves. I fear that if I should exchange my pursuits for yours, I, too, should become a slave.

Dirty Greek - GB #15 - Living On Earth

This week's Living On Earth, just like every week, is great. This week, though, they have a story on fusion power, including a bit about cold fusion. Boy oh boy, if we could only get cold fusion to actually work, we'd be in a serious bit of good.

Or would we? I often waver between my humanitarian side and my gaian side. As a human, I do have certain desires, like electricity and being able to travel anywhere in the world while listening to my ipod. On the other hand, if we had a drastic drop in the energy sources available to us, we'd have to live in a more sustainable fashion and slow the hell down. It's tough to fight against myself there!

February 17th's show had a bit on organic farming.
