It's really doubtful in my mind that this will get any further than the Senate Commerce Committee, but they've approved a bill that would give $60 Million to the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in order to study the possibilities surrounding "abrupt climate change." However, it's pretty unlikely that it'll even make it through the Senate, much less through the House.
Still, it's a start.
