Idle hands spend time at the genitals, and you know how much God hates that!

From my cousin Mitch, in Iraq. What's this all about?
Friday, March 05, 2004:

hey guys. thanks for your comments. today's still early but we have a lot on our plate today. i have to leave the wire again today to take a soldier to what we call A POD. it's just another camp in kuwait. she has to have surgery and they will fly her to Germany for the surgery and we have to get her to the airplane first. everytime we leave the wire it's kinda fun, but kinda nerve racking at the same time. the whole media thing about how everyone over here loves us and is always waving at us is a lie. mostly we just get stared at but the other day one of my buddies was driving around and got flipped off. i have had a couple of people wave at me though smiling, just not as many as the media would like for there to be by any means. but the route we travel is relatively safe so no worries. we have all had a few things to do since our vehicles came in from the ship. a lot of them got parts stolen off of them or "lost" as they say, so we have to get some more parts. some of the guys had to go to another camp so they could get the bulletproof plates that go in our body armor. right now they just protect against fragments and not bullets. that adds another 10 or 20 lbs to the jacket so while it's safer, im not looking forward to it. but ill tell you what i am looking forward to, getting out of here. i can't wait. but it'll come soon enough so i guess i have to just wait. we also have to go to the conex yard to find our conex. they went on the ship w/ the vehicles so they are here, but they all look the same except for color and they only make about 5 different colors, so you can imagine how long it's going to take to find ours. it's like looking for a needle in a big stack of needles. but i guess that's all i have for today, keep your chins up and ill keep my head down. thanks for your prayers and support, it is appreciated. lots of love. peace
