If we are saying that the loss of species in and of itself is inherently bad -- I don't think we know enough about how the world works to say that.
- Craig Manson, appointed by President Bush to position overseeing the Endangered Species Act

Dirty Greek - 9/11 attacks 'likely could have been prevented'

As the 9/11 commission gets ready to release its report stating that the 9/11 attacks likely could have been prevented, let's go back a few days to Scott McClellan, shall we?

This is ol' Scotty on March 22:
"I think that his assertions that there was something -- or his assertion that there was something we could have done to prevent the September 11th attacks from happening is deeply irresponsible, it's offensive, and it's flat-out false.
First of all, Scott's statement in itself is really creepy. It's offensive to say that they could have done something to prevent the attacks? There's nothing they could have done, at all? That, in itself, is pretty frightening if you ask me, because I'd sure as hell hope that for all the failures these guys have been through, there's SOMETHING they could have done.

Either way, I guess that he's going to be pretty pissed at the commission when they release this report. I guess he'll hold a press briefing stating that the commission's decision is "deeply irresponsible, it's offensive, and it's flat-out false."
