Who told you love was fleeting? Sometimes men can be so misleading to take what they need from you. Whatever you need to make you feel like you've been the one behind the wheel, the sunrise is just over that hill, the worst is over.

Dirty Greek - Draft talk on the hill

You folks keep telling me that the recent activity in the draft board is purely coincidental, and that no one is trying to re-instate the draft. Well, that's funny, because:
"A senior Republican lawmaker said that deteriorating security in Iraq may force the United States to reintroduce the military draft.
"There's not an American ... that doesn't understand what we are engaged in today and what the prospects are for the future," Senator Chuck Hagel told a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on post-occupation Iraq.

"Why shouldn't we ask all of our citizens to bear some responsibility and pay some price?" Hagel said, arguing that restoring compulsory military service would force "our citizens to understand the intensity and depth of challenges we face."
Why shouldn't we... let me answer your question, Senator: BECAUSE IT'S ANTITHETICAL TO DEMOCRACY TO FORCE YOUR CITIZENS INTO A WAR, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S UNJUST AND TURNING INTO VIETNAM II. If you think for one second, Mr. Hagel, that you can convince the majority of the American public that this unfair, self-righteous war of imperialism can be turned into something that most Americans will allow you to force them into, you don't deserve only to be fired. You deserve to go to Iraq yourself. You deal with the insurgents who are pissed off at your government for invading them. It's not my fault, and I sure as hell am not going to clean up your mess or die for you.
