The earth I tread on is not a dead, inert mass. It is a body, has a spirit, is organic, and fluid to the influence of its spirit, and to whatever particle of that spirit is in me. She is not dead, but sleepeth.
- Henry David Thoreau

Looks like your humble servant is going to be in the Boston Globe!
Hi, George --

I'm a reporter for the Globe, working on a story about how the Democratic National Convention Committee is offering credentials to bloggers. I saw an old posting on dailykos where you said you were going to apply. Wondered if you did, what came of it, and what you think of the idea. I'd love to talk to you by phone about it, if you have a few minutes.

You can reach me at *redacted*, or leave me an e-mail at *redacted* with a good number and time for reaching you. Thanks so much - I look forward to talking!

Best,
Joanna Weiss
She interviewed me about the conventions, the big rise in blogging, etc. I got to tell her about how corporate-controlled media was inherently biased to their sponsors and how blogs are great because they have no one to answer to.

I feel all tingly. The issue will probably print this weekend. She's gonna let me know.
