I don't want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.

Dirty Greek - A prediction about Iraq
War : A prediction about Iraq

Allow me to make a little prediction about the previous post.

I predict that this statement, made by the coalition, that they will pull out if asked by a new Iraqi government, is not a "gamble," as it's being called, but a very intelligent play.
Think about it; they're consistently saying they would pull out if asked, but they're all saying that they're "not losing sleep over it."

Well, according to all the recent polls, most Iraqis want the coalition out right now. So, any representative Iraqi government would ask for us to leave. Therefore, I see two possibilities...

Either we know that the new government will not ask the coalition to leave, because the coalition already knows who the important members of the new government will be, OR
The coalition wants to get the hell out for the political gain (and perhaps well being) of all involved, so they're acting like they don't think the new government will ask them to leave, even though they know damn well that it will ask them to leave.

My prediction: The new Iraqi government WILL ask the coalition to leave, and it will. This will be nothing but a boon for the leaders of the coalition nations... especially Dubya.
