If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual gay sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything. All of those things are antithetical to a healthy, stable, traditional family and that's sort of where we are in today's world, unfortunately. It all comes from, I would argue, the right to privacy that doesn't exist, in my opinion, in the United States Constitution.

Well, happy freedom day, everyone. I wanted to take some time today to express some feelings I've been having lately.

I know that usually, on this site, I'm critical of alot of things. There are obvious reasons for that, but I hate the idea that everyone who reads me thinks that I'm some critical, always unhappy person. I'm actually a very happy person, and I wanted to say something about Independence Day.

This holiday is supposed to represent more the freedom we gained from the British. It's supposed to represent freedom itself. We are to celebrate by being with friends and family, blowing up gunpowder-stuffed shells, eating meat, and drinking alcohol. I, however, feel that we should do more than that on this day. Today, we should remember all of the people who, right now, are even less free than we are.

People like the Iraqi citizens. People who live in countries neighboring Iraq. People in North Korea and other parts of the world where dictatorships are prevalent and people aren't allowed to speak their minds at all for fear of death or something worse.

While you're celebrating today, don't forget about all of those people out there who are not able to celebrate freedom, because they don't have any freedom to celebrate. America is by far not the greatest or most free country in the world, regardless of what you hear in school or from others, but it does allow more freedoms than many other nations, and we should be thankful for that.

So, don't just celebrate your freedom by consuming more and producing more waste. Think about others who are less fortunate than you, and if you can, do something to help someone who is less free.
