Why deliberately go poking around among nasty, disreputable ideas? Why look under rocks? I do it, first of all, for the same reason I did look under rocks as a kid: plain curiosity. "We are receiving reports of the conditions inside Pier 57. There are between 1000-2000 people inside, and multiple reports of oil/chemical residue on the floor. Also, one caller reported dehydration, verbal abuse from guards, no room to sit down. People are being held without charges and without having been read their rights.

More updates: I just got a call from a woman inside the Pier 57 Holding tanks.. they are in cages toped with Razor wire. About 100 people to every pen.. the floor is dirty and cover in soot. there are signs that say "Danger Chemicals" .. she is complainging of problems breathing.. they have now seperated the men and the women. the poepl that have been there have now been outside for about 19 hours. wiht no food.. although they have given them water.. the initial estamate was about 1500-2000 peopoe in the holding areas of pier 57... but right now only about 7 pens remain.. so about 700 people left to be booked...everyone was all happy and dancing and cherring.. everytime one of the people gets released you can ehar them chating and cheering..

other than that.. thpe Jail support people are outside cheering them on.. we wish them well..
