Yesterday, NPR reported that Sarin gas canisters have been found by the US marines in Iraq. The reporter interviewed the commander of the unit who was "estatic" and that now it proved the "war was justified".
Heard this several times before, and it's always turned out to be untrue. Could be true this time though; who knows?
Also, don't forget that by now, those weapons could have come into iraq at any point after the invasion. That's not to say Saddam didn't have them, but at this point, I would say there's no way of knowing who ordered them into the country.
Also, something I've been saying from the beginning is that finding WMDs in Iraq that have been there since before Saddam was removed and proving they have anything to do with saddam are very different.
By the way, don't you know? All the cool kids are using Saddam's torturous ways to justify the invasion now. WMDs are SO last year.
UPDATE: Fox News hasn't even picked this story up yet, so it appears to be bunk. They would have run with it if it held any water whatsoever.
UPDATE: NPR reports today that the canisters did NOT contain Sarin gas. Told you!
