We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if mankind is to survive.

As Jared so eloquently puts it over at String Cans, the U.S. is already thinking of attacking Iran. According to a story in the New Yorker:
"The United States has been conducting secret reconnaissance missions inside Iran to help identify potential nuclear, chemical and missile targets.
Jared makes a good point also when he says this:
"If there’s anything you can say about Bushie, it’s that he’s arrogant and reckless. So if Iraq is going poorly, why risk that war being his legacy? Why not launch another war and hope it goes better? It kinda reminds me of the how bin Laden and Afghanistan dropped out of the daily briefings and were promptly replaced by Saddam, Iraq and those darn weapons of mass distraction (err….destruction).
He also mentions me when he points this out:
"I’ve said all along that the US wouldn’t have the physical resources to open another front in the War on Terror (The War Against Opposition to US Global Domination) as long as we were tied down in Iraq.

However, as Jorge blogged awhile ago there are rumors of a US pullout .
Be afraid, children. Be very afraid. Of course, Iran actually IS more of a threat to us than Iraq, but that doesn't mean that going after them is necessarily a good idea.
"President Bush said on Monday he would not rule out military action against Iran if that country was not more forthcoming about its suspected nuclear weapons program.

"I hope we can solve it diplomatically, but I will never take any option off the table," Bush said in an interview with NBC News when asked if he would rule out the potential for military action against Iran "if it continues to stonewall the international community about the existence of its nuclear weapons program."

Iran denies it has been trying to make nuclear weapons and says its nuclear program is geared solely to producing electricity.
Starting to sound familiar?
