When James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, watches the beloved cartoon character Spongebob Squarepants, his gaydar goes off - in a big way. This is understandable, of course, because Spongebob indeed exhibits alot of "eccentric" qualities. His arms stick directly out of his head, he hangs out with a scuba diving Squirrel named Sandy, and he lives in a pineapple under the sea.
Obviously, all of these are pattern traits of the typical homosexual.
From a CNN article about the issue:
bq. The wacky square yellow SpongeBob is one of the stars of a music video due to be sent to 61,000 U.S. schools in March. The makers -- the nonprofit We Are Family Foundation -- say the video is designed to encourage tolerance and diversity.
bq. But at least two Christian activist groups say the innocent cartoon characters are being exploited to promote the acceptance of homosexuality.
bq. "A short step beneath the surface reveals that one of the differences being celebrated is homosexuality," wrote Ed Vitagliano in an article for the American Family Association.
Of course, one look at the We Are Family Foundation's website would lead one to the conclusion that they were all a bunch of merry-making faggots. Their logo, a sort of sequined, rainbow colored heart, is pretty ass-tastic. However, that's not the worst part about it. The video features characters such as Arthur, Barney, Bear in the Big Blue House, Between the Lions, Blue's Clues, Bob the Builder, The Book of Pooh, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Dora the Explorer, Jimmy Neutron, JoJo's Circus, Kim Possible, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Madeline, The Magic School Bus, The Muppet Show, The Proud Family, Rugrats, Sesame Street, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Zoom, among others.
The worst part, however, is that the video also features a cameo appearance by known anti-family activists Bill Cosby, Diana Ross and Whoopi Goldberg.
Focus on the family is involved in other good works as well, like trying to break the stranglehold of pornography. Hopefully soon the hand of God will appear to strike down Spongebob the sodomizer and Jimmy Neutron the blasphemor and the world will once again be ready to listen to his word.
UPDATE: Dobson asserts that | ""We see the video as an insidious means by which the organization is manipulating and potentially brainwashing kids," he said. "It is a classic bait and switch." |
Sadly, No! has this to say:| "So kids are being baited with SpongeBob, and then they'll have the old switcheroo pulled on them by getting cock instead? Seeing some hot girl-on-girl action? The bait is clear, but the switch? How does that make any sense as a bait and switch scam? Inquiring minds want to know. |
Heh. Cock.
