Ok, here's the breakdown. Just in the last day, Woolsey and 24 House Democrats asked for troops to be withdrawn from Iraq, British Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy said today that British troops should be pulled out of Iraq. British Prime Minister Tony Blair apparently hopes that British troops can be withdrawn soon after the election Sunday, and The Ukranian Parliament today called for their 1,650 troops to be withdrawn.
Finally, President Bush said in an interview on Thursday that he would withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq if the new government that is elected on Sunday asked him to do so... This is, surprisingly, still consistent with Paul Bremer's statements back in May 2004.
Maybe they're leaving soon! Of course, it probably just means that they're getting ready to go to Iran, but that will likely take a while... which means our men and women might be home long enough for us to stop this madness.
